Lorenzen Wright was an American international basketball player. He was born and raised in Oxford, Mississippi on November 4th, 1975, and died in Memphis, Tennessee on July 19th, 2010. Wright was on July 18th, 2010, and his body was discovered several days later, just before he was shot.
Wright-Robinson pleaded guilty to charges of the first murder facilitation and was sentenced to three years in prison. Seven years later, he kidnapped at the University of Memphis. Wright eventually joined the Atlanta Hawks in 1999.
He spent thirteen successful seasons in the National Basketball Association, with the Los Angeles Clippers choosing him seventh overall in the 1996 NBA playoffs. He was a member of the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Sacramento Kings, among many others.
Wright was indeed a nationally renowned basketball player and billionaire philanthropist throughout his professional career. After the demise of the little girl in March 2003, he founded the Sierra Simone Wright Scholarship.

Lorenzen Wright | Early Life and College
Wright was born in Oxford, Mississippi, and attended a local Lafayette High School before transferring to Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis for his senior year. In Memphis, he played basketball at all levels — high school, collegiate, and pro. His dad, Herb, was a professional basketball player in Finland who had a tryout with the Utah Jazz at one point.
Herb Wright was working for the Memphis Police Department when he disabled by a bullet to the spine while he was seven years old.

Wright was indeed taken seventh overall in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers outside the University of Memphis. Wright scored a postseason professional life 17 points in a Game 2 defeat to the Utah Jazz on April 26, 1997, as a rookie.
The Clippers finally lost the series. The following season, in an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on December 26, 1997, Wright established a season-high with 32 points and 15 rebounds.

He allegedly claimed that after the murder, he went to Mississippi Lake with Turner to discard the gun used to kill Lorenzen. In December 2017, Billy Turner and Sherra Wright were accused of first-degree manslaughter.
They were sentenced to 30 years in jail on July 25, 2019, for orchestrating Wright’s murder.
