At Iowa, he ran three times for nine yards and had grabbed one pass for fifteen yards. At Northwestern, he carried for 76 yards on 13 carries, while against Wisconsin, he raced for 39 yards. In an Outback Bowl victory over Auburn, he carried 20 times for 140 yards and one touchdown.

In 2020, he raced 201 occasions for 1,076 yards (the 23rd most in school single-season history) and 15 touchdowns (the 25th most in school single-season history). He topped the Big Ten in rushing attempts (201), yards (1,076), yards per game (153.7), rushing touchdowns (15), scoring (90), goals scored per game (12.9), and all-purpose yards per game (168.4).

With a dashing average of 153.7 yards per contest and four touchdown passes in a single match, he had established a school mark (did so at Maryland and Illinois). He handled the football 30 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns against Ohio State in 2021 prior to actually suffering a season-ending injury in the q3.
